This RN position is for the field in Rapid City and will provide care for both home health and hospice.
General Information: Minimum Experience required: 1.5 years (MH requirement)Will you accept a first-time traveler? If they have experience in home health and hospiceTravelers must live >100 miles away from facility Permanent staff must wait 1 full year to return as a traveler Patient Types:Home Health and Hospice dual role when on assignment training and support can be provided Patient Ratios:RN: Routine 5-6 patients per day; Admissions approx. 2 per day.Each RN will work alongside an LPN will approximately manage a case load of 20-25 patients with the RN seeing each patient once per week Required
Certifications: RN: BLS; Valid Drivers License Required Education:RN: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of NursingSkills required:RN: Oasis, hospice philosophy, infection control practices, wound vacs, wound care, picc line dressing changes, port access, IV infusions, drains, critical thinking skills, catheter insertion, drains; Ability to drive at night
